What Is A Polymath?

A polymath, also known as the Renaissance Man or Homo Universalis (Universal person or man), is a man who has knowledge not limited to one field of study or subject. In Greek it means "having learned much." Basically it's a person who is very knowledgeable, they know a lot of about a lot of things. Polymaths are mainly men of the past when it was easier to major in many different fields because there wasn't as much knowledge in a major as there is now. The term Renaissance man was created in Renaissance Italy.

It is all apart of Renaissance Humanism, that say that "man is empowered, limitless in his capacities for development, and led to the notion that people should embrace all knowledge and develop their capacities as fully as possible." So this said that all intelligent men should embrace their skills and develop them in all areas of study, physical development, social accomplishments and art.

The reason I chose this is because I don't dislike many things, but I don't love many things either I just like it all. I always find myself wanting to learn about everything and not be ignorant of anything. This is good and bad, I never find a real place anywhere just always wandering and being nomadic. The good is I become well rounded and I love that because I think balance is vital. So I'll always be somewhere in between.
